When it comes to food trends, we mostly talk about the trending cuisines at the restaurants or the latest addition to the grocery mart rack. This time, however, we discovered technologies developed in food beyond what is available at your stores.
UMB organizes FI & HI networking summits for F&B professionals giving them access to a vast array of latest ingredients in food and health segment. The event is held alternatively in Mumbai and Delhi. The summit leverages a considerable networking stage for businesses.
We came across many companies engaged in dried fruits and vegetables using Air Dry and Freeze dry both adopted by different cooking requirements such as an air-dried product is used where the product is intended to cook, whereas if you want to garnish a dish you can opt for a freeze-dried product.
A few companies from China and India produced many ingredients that help in enhancing your food characteristics along with the taste as well as purifying them.
Sweeteners and taste enhancers, in general, dominate the food ingredients industry. However, there is a growing need for other segments of ingredients.
As a promotional activity Palate Culinary associated with FI&HI 2017 as a live demonstrater where Rakhee Vaswani of Palate Culinary Studio demonstrated the use of available dehydrated veggies, liquid flavors, enhancers and powdered ingredients.
She curated recipes for Quinoa Mexican Chaat, Achari Paneer Nachos, and Loaves of Bread.
